Garrett Godsey is an American author currently living in Europe, near Prague.
His debut novel, The Rivener, will be released in 2023 and is a compelling blend of supernatural thriller, urban portal fantasy, psychic sci-fi, and cosmic horror.
During his thirty-eight trips around the old god, Sol, Garrett has spent formative time and made friends in many places. A non-exhaustive list includes, Arizona, The Ozarks, Colorado, Kansas, San Francisco, central Europe, and Mexico. In the near future, he's thinking about exploring London, Toronto, American rustbelt towns, and Maine.
Not surprisingly, Godsey's stories often deal with exploration—of the soul, identity, and world. And as a 90s latchkey-kid growing up on a steady diet of fantastic fiction, his tales almost always include a healthy dash of the incredible and strange.
In addition to his love of storytelling, he is a self-taught biotech product designer, and is fascinated by psychology, neurology, and cognitive development.
